They deceive us because they fear revolution by Malaika wa Azania

We spend twelve years reading blank papers, studing false histories and writing irrelevent exams.
We spend twelve years being tamed by a system that wants to keep us in chains.
They don't want us to know the truth about who we are and where we come from.
They are afraid of what the knowledge could do to their utopia.

They teach us about the Russian Revolution to feed us Communism, but they say nothing about Nkrumah of Ghana and Jomo Kenyatta, because they fear pan-Afrikanism.

They teach us about the suffering of the Jews during the Holocaust, but they say nothing about the Rwanda Genocide.

They teach us about the victories of Napoleon, but they don't tell us how Black warriors won at the battle of Sandlwana or about how Nujoma made Germany nomore in Namibia.

They teach us about the bravery of Anne Frank, but they don't acknowledge the courage of our son of the soil,Solomon Mahlangu.

They teach us about the genius of Sir Isaac Newton and Albert Einstein, but the genius of the natives of Egypt as well as the Incas and Aztecs is watered-down.

They feed us Shakespeare,to impregnate us with thoughts of romantic love, but they ban the writings of Onkgopotse Tiro and Ken Saro-Wiwa.

Why do they refuse us truth?

They will not teach us about Mumia Abu Jamal because they fear we will be conscious.
They will not teach us about Assata Shakur because they fear we will be rebellious.
They will not teach us about Thomas Sankara because they fear we will be courageous.
They will not teach us about Wangari Mathai because they fear we will be prosperous.
They will not teach us truth...they fear revolution!
